All drugs of abuse activate the dopamine system in the reward pathway.

  • Topic: Common Drugs and Everyday Student Activity
  • Purpose of the Activity: To help students become more aware of their use of common drugs, the activities that serve as antecedents to their use, and the consequences of using them.
  •  Procedure: For a 7 day period keep a log of your daily use of caffeine, alcohol, and nicotine.

I will make copies of the Daily Log below and give out in class.
